Thomas Guggenheim Program on the History of Economic Thought

The Thomas Guggenheim Program in the History of Economic Thought, established in 2007 at the Department of Economics in Ben-Gurion University of the Negev by the Foundation Thomas Guggenheim, aims at promoting research and scholarship in the fields of the History of Economic Thought and in Economic History. It carries out a bi-annual international conference, organizes seminars and offers fellowships.

Every two years, at the conference, an International Advisory Committee chooses a recipient of the Thomas Guggenheim Prize for Outstanding and Original Research in the History of Economic Thought."

We are pleased to announce that Professor Duncan K. Foley, Leo Model Professor of Economics at the New School for Social Research, has been selected as the recipient of the Guggenheim Prize in the History of Economic Thought for 2017 as a tribute for his major contribution to the field.
